Great spot for some drinks and tapas. Staff is friendly and kind to foreigners. Has AC, which is great on a hot day (door is left open so not cold but still nice). Stopped by a few times during my stay and received a good variety of tapas with drinks. Received sheep cheese, jamon, and thin cut sausage. Below is a picture of jamon, sheep cheese, and anchovies I ordered. They game us free bread to eat it with.

As a non Spanish guest in the city, I found this place cozy and warm, with very friendly and always willing to serve the best in stock personnel!

We randomly walked into this place and ended up loving it! It’s a small, super cute local restaurant with a fun and relaxed vibe. The staff were really friendly and made us feel right at home, like we were eating at a friend’s place.

This local restaurant has an authentic Spanish atmosphere — the bull painting on the wall immediately sets the mood.

We had an awesome time at Matador Tapas Bar! It's exactly what we were looking for in Madrid. The tapas were fantastic—super tasty and authentic—and the prices were really good for the quality you get. We loved the ambiance too, just a really great, lively vibe that felt very welcoming. There was one small hiccup where the waiter forgot a couple of the things we ordered, but they were really apologetic and it all got sorted out in the end, so it was totally fine. It didn't spoil the experience at all. We left really happy and would definitely go back

One of the best eats in Madrid for jamón and salchichón. Albóndigas De Ternera En Salsa were so good. Place is a bit cramped but worth of squeezing in. Love the interior a lot.

We walked past this small but charming bar with my friend around dinner time and decided to give it a try — and it turned out to be the right choice! We ordered a mix of ham, some sangria, and beer. The waiter brought us cheese and bread as well, and everything was absolutely delicious 😋. The ham paired with the cheese and bread was just perfect. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and even though the bar is small, the atmosphere was great. I’ll definitely come back here the next time I’m in Madrid!

Visitors love the generous tapas like ham, cheese, anchovies, empanada, and meatballs, paired with affordable wine, sangria, or vermouth. The narrow, quirky decor and lively music create a genuine Madrid atmosphere, popular with locals and tourists.
